Women We’ll Never Date: Yvonne Strahovski
I was never much a lover of damsels in distress. The whole wilting flower thing never did it for me. My infatuation with Ms. Strahovski pretty begins and ends with ‘Chuck’. Chuck was a show pretty much marketed directly to me. The basic conceit is that a dorky guy gets superpowers, has to be mentored by two secret agents, one of which is played by the aforementioned women we’ll never date. Agent Sarah Walker was Chuck’s bodyguard, guide to his powers, and romantic interest. I’ll be honest, the whole show was basically a very drawn out rom-com, but as I’ve mentioned, I enjoy rom-coms.
The best part about Yvonne Strahovski, is that she kicked ass. There was always believable chemistry between the two leads, and when she was written as being vulnerable, it wasn’t ridiculous. She’s on Dexter now, but I don’t watch that show, so I have no idea now, but Ms. Strahovski will always have a little bit of my heart because I believed that she could fall in love with a dork. Mind you, the dork looks like Zachary Levi, who is incredibly handsome, but still let me dream.
Also, have I mentioned that she donned the Princess Leia bikini?
Oh, and that she’s Australian. Accent and all. Hell. Yes.
